Hardware allows you to assign hardware items to the fixtures. Hardware then can be ordered through the ticketing system or outside of the system. In order to set this functionality, you need to create hardware and assign it to a fixture.

Attention

Before you create hardware you need to create Areas.


Create Hardware

To create hardware in the system, please follow these steps:

  • Click on the Settings tab
  • Click on the Hardware sub-tab
  • You will see list of all current hardware items in the system
  • Click on the New Item button
  • Fill in the Hardware Name, Description and SKU
  • Under Action, place a checkmark in front of type of order for that hardware item
  • Email: creates a ticket and sends an email to a specified address
  • URL: displays a link to a page where the supply can be ordered
  • Message: displays an on-screen message on how to order this supply
  • Upload a hardware image if available
  • Select the areas of the fixtures where this hardware resides (can be ordered from)
  • Click Save

Note

  • The Hardware image and description will show when you hover over the hardware name in the list
  • The Hardware image and description will also show when store user hovers over the hardware name for stores.

Assign Hardware to a Fixture

To assign hardware to a fixture:

  • Click on the Fixtures tab
  • Find and click on a fixture you want to assign hardware to
  • Click on the Hardware sub-tab
  • Select the hardware that can be ordered from this fixture within the areas
  • Click Save

Add Area

To add a new area:

  • Click on the Settings tab
  • Click on the Hardware sub-tab
  • Click on the Configure button
  • You will see a list of available areas; to add a new area, click the New Item button
  • Enter the area’s English and French names
  • Click Save
