  • Click on the Fixtures tab. All current fixtures in RMS are displayed here.
  • To show inactive Fixtures / Furniture, click on Show All button in the top right corner.
  • The Fixtures tab showcases two types of icons that can be placed onto a floor plan: fixtures and furniture. Fixtures are anything found in a store that can take a merchandising element. Furniture is anything that cannot take a merchandising element. Examples of fixtures include backlit displays and acrylic 8.5” x 11”. Examples of furniture include Jim stools, accessory cabinets and tables.
  • Furniture is always displayed after fixture elements. Fixtures are always outlined in blue and furniture is always outlined in green.
  • The number in the top left corner of the fixture icon is the total number of pieces across all channels.

Note

  • For a quick search of fixtures, enter the name of the fixture in the search box located in the top left corner of the page, next to the New Item button.
  • This is a dynamic search, so it will filter the results as you type.
  • By default, only active items are shown.
  • Only fixtures / furniture in the current view will be shown in the search results.
  • The fixture search feature will search both store fixtures and store furniture.
  • - (handset) icon in the top left corner signifies that the fixture holds a phone(s).
  • - (cog) icon represent fixture that is connected to another fixture. Please see Connections

  • Click on Fixture you want to identify that holds a card(s)
  • Under Handset Collateral section place check-mark in front of each card this fixture can accept

Note

View Fixture / Furniture Profiles

  • Fixture profiles identify the following: name of the fixture, where a fixture can be located (channel and zone), which types of collateral the fixture can take, and general care and maintenance instructions, parts and supplies it can hold and category it belongs.
  • Click on any of the fixture / furniture icons to view the fixture profile
  • The first page you will see after the Settings tab is the Fixture Views page. This page shows the digital representation of the fixture and the floor plan icon. Here you can upload updated images of the fixture and icon. A sample photo can also be uploaded here. The sample photo provides an overview of what the fixture looks like in-store. The sample photo does not represent the collateral that is currently displayed in a store.
  • Create a Fixture Icon.
  • Fixture icons start at a canvas size of fixture size in inches = fixture icon size in pixels. If fixture is 24” x 48” then icon is 24px x 48px. One inch is equal one pixel (1” = 1px)
  • If the area of one fixture is greater than the others, it will be positioned beneath “lighter” fixtures on the floor plan. Lighter fixtures will float above the others. Fixtures with larger perimeters are generally the heavier fixtures.

Note

  • If a fixture holds a device or accessory, you must set Fixture DPI resolution.

This feature allows you to rotate fixtures and move them to a different spot for a specific day. For example, you can move a pedestal fixture from the back of the store to the front of the store on a specific day, and it will be shown to users on a specified date. This allows you to plan different store layouts that will be effective at a future date.

To set fixtures to different positions in the future, follow these steps:

Fixtures with Undefined Zones

Due to the dynamic nature of the system, it is possible that a fixture may appear on the floor plan with no zone defined. This usually happens when setting up the system for the first time, or when the stores change their concept type and the fixture zones change. To find all fixtures that have undefined zones and the accounts they are in:

  • Click on the Allocations tab under Fixtures.
  • Click on the Undefined Zones button.

This will open a new window with a list of the stores and fixtures that have undefined zones. From that list, you can go to Account Fixtures and set the desired zone for the fixture.
