Phone Database


Models

Note

By default only active devices are listed. To show all (inactive) devices click on Show All Items button on top right.

The Phone Database is accessible through the Assets tab. To add new Asset (phone):

  • Click on Assets
  • Click on New Item
  • Type Model name
  • Choose Make and Type
  • Enter device size (Width, Height and Depth in inches or millimetres)
  • Click Save

Note

  • Dimensions are used to properly scale the device image based on the rendering of the fixture
  • You can enter either inches of millimetres, system will automatically convert
  • If there is no device size, the default size from the collateral settings will be used
  • Any fixture that holds a device has to have the DPI set in Fixture Views / Resolution

Makes

If the Make drop-down box does not have the desired option, follow these steps:

  • Click on Entities
  • Click on Phone Brands
  • Click on New Entity
  • Enter Make name
  • Enter SKU notation for this make
  • Click Save

Asset Builds

To add Asset build:

  • On Devices page click on Asset Build button (on top right)
  • Click on New Entity
  • Enter new Build Type
  • Click Save

Asset Types

To add Asset Types:

  • Click on Devices
  • Click on Asset Types button (top right) or go to Entities > Asset Types
  • Click New Entity
  • Enter Asset Name
  • Click Save

Add Device

After you have created your model, you have to create a device. In the Devices tab,

  • Click on Add Device (on desired Make - Model line)
  • Type in the device SKU
  • Choose Build
  • Choose Colour
  • Check applicable options (Active phone, Postpaid, Prepaid)
  • Upload an image of the phone (.png or .jpg file not bigger than 400 pixels width or height)

Check Colors section to add color to the colour drop-down box.

Note

  • You can edit devices by clicking the Edit Device button.
  • You can edit the model by clicking the Edit Model button.

Add Postpaid – Prepaid Handset / Feature Cards

Each phone system creates Handset and Feature Card placeholders. Actual cards are not created. To create cards, follow these steps:

  • Click on Devices
  • Click on Edit Model
  • Click on Add Postpaid and/or Add Prepaid

Upload Handset Cards Images

To upload an actual image of the handset cards:

  • Click on Devices
  • Click on Edit Model
  • Click on Card ID or Element Name
  • In the Image section, click on Browse and find the card image
  • Click Save

Allocating Phones

Phones are allocated through one continuously running program. You do not need to create a Brief/Program to allocate devices. The Handset program is marked with a green colour.

Phone allocations are done same way as collateral allocations. You can create a different Window/Job for devices as required.

  • Find the program called Devices
  • Click on Allocations
  • Click on New Allocation
  • Using the standard Allocation formula, select locations
  • Click Save to save your allocation

Composing Phones

In the composition window, only fixtures that are holding devices are shown.

  • Click on phone holder (or phone image) on the fixture
  • Available (active) phones will be shown on the right side.
  • If you have clicked on the phone in the fixture, the selected phone will be highlighted and will be the first phone on the right side of the screen.
  • To make a spot blank, click on the Remove ”Phone Name” button above phone
  • You can assign different or new phones to spots by clicking on either the Prepaid or the Postpaid button under the phone.

Allocating Cards

  • If phone have Handset Cards Created they will be automatically linked to phone
  • To edit Handset Card, click on Handset Cards button above selected phone
  • You can remove card, use Default Card or assign any other card created in Handset Program.

Note

  • There is Two type of cards: Handset Card and Feature Card
  • They have to be linked to this special feature. Please contact support to set specific Collateral Types to be used as Handset Card and Feature Card
  • Created Cards are automatically assigned below device when phone is composed
  • Feature Card can be overridden by special/promotional card
  • If button is orange, then phone default card has been changed
  • Cards do not need hotspot in the Fixture Layout
  • Cards appear just below phone First Handset card then below Feature Card
  • In headset program you can only create Feature cards collateral
  • You have to specify at the Fixture level what card is displayed in each fixture
