Directives are instructions/guides that communicate to the stores how to set, assemble, present, etc., specific fixtures, displays or store sections. Directives can be specific to campaigns, fixtures, etc. Directives can be categorized to facilitate navigation and organization. On the directives page you can search for keywords, filter to show only specified category or sort them by from-to date. Directive folders are collapsed by default, to expand or collapse all directive folders click on grey arrow box, to expand or collapse individual folders click on blue arrow box on directive line.

Create Directive Categories

To create a directive category, click on Directives on the Home page. You will see a list of existing directives, their categories and their Start / Expiry dates

  • Click on Configure
  • You will see list of existing categories (sorted alphabetically)
  • Click on New Category
  • Type in English and French name of category
  • Click on Save

Warning

These are special categories that are linked to specific system functionality.

Create Directive Subcategories

To create a directive subcategory, click on Directives on the Home page. You will see a list of existing directives.

  • Click on Subcategories button
  • From dropdown elect Category you wish to add new subcategory to
  • Click on Add Subcategory button
  • Enter Subcategory name
  • Click Save

Create Directive

To create a directive, click on Directives on the Home page. You will see a list of existing directives, their categories and their Start / Expiry dates.

  • Click on New Folder
  • Type Directive Title, select directive category and subcategory, choose Start and Expiry dates and type a message for the directive.
  • You can use either Allocation List or Allocation Formula to allocate the directive to specific stores.
  • Under the File Upload section, type file description then choose file(s) to upload.
  • Click on Save"

Warning

  • Directive Subcategories are mandatory. You should place every directive in Category and Subcategory
  • All directives that are not in any Subcategory will be placed under Default Subcategory

Note

  • Directive files are typically doc, docx, xls, xlsx, pdf, zip, jpeg.
  • By default, system hides expired directive folders.
  • Click on Show Expired button to show all folders.

Pin Directive

You can PIN any directive to be on the top of the stores directives page. Store would see first PIN-ed directives section, then New Directives then directive categories. PIN-ed and New Directives are always expanded by default. Directive categories and Subcategories are collapsed for easier navigation.

To PIN directive:

  • Click on Directives Tab
  • Click on small Grey Pin at the end of Directive name
  • Pin will change colour to blue to indicate that this directive is PIN-ed

Allocate to Reps

Corporate Rep, Dealer Rep, Retail Rep ) you can place checkmark in front of Reps you want to allocate to. You can filter reps by typing keyword. Filter is CASE sensitive. By clicking on the small grey arrow pointing down system will select all Reps displayed.

To get list of Reps that are part of allocated locations only, scroll to bottom of page and click Update button. This will reload a page and highlight Reps that are assigned to allocated stores. Click on small arrow to select only highlighted Reps.

Note

  • You can collapse Representatives section by clicking on Representatives. System will remember your preferences and keep it collapsed on all pages.
  • Please note Update might take few minutes to complete and to calculate Reps that are assigned to select stores.

Download a Directive

  • From the Directives page, expand directive folder then click on the desired file under the directive title you wish to download. To open the directive, double click on the pdf, doc or docx to view. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader and/or Microsoft Word installed on your computer to be able to view the file.

Note

  • Selecting the Save button allows you to access the file again at a later date. The Open button will immediately open the file however; it may not be accessible later.
  • Depending on your browser settings you will be prompted to save file, to choose location or file will open automatically.
  • Always save files to your computer first before opening them. Opening files directly from your Internet browser may cause your computer to slow down.
